The piress Anne Bonney, being very anachronistic with pink cloth and lace and all.
Story goes, she ran off to sea with the pirate Calico Jack Rackham, dressed as a man, and while at sea they took aboard the sailor Mark Read, and Anne - fickle as a pirate should be - started to glide from Jack towards Mark, flirting and generally offering herself up.
Turns out, then, that Mark Read was actually Mary Read, who had served in armies and on ships as a man for most of her life. Now, according to the official story, the discovery was the end of the burgeoning love-affair, and the two women became friends.
I, however, like to think otherwise (and have a few pictures in the works, just for that idea).
